Replaces the registry host across 86 files: 309 references, covering all 40
app manifests, the orchestrator and container crates, the release and catalog
scripts, both demo-images workflows, the ISO builder, demo-deploy, and the
frontend marketplace data.
Verified the domain actually serves the registry before rewriting anything,
rather than assuming the web host implies the registry:
- TLS verifies clean, HTTP/2 on the web root
- an anonymous token grants a manifest fetch (HTTP 200) with no credentials
- skopeo inspect --no-creds resolves an image and lists its tags
That last check is the one that matters: an outside developer with no account
can now pull, which was the functional blocker for publishing at all.
Plain-HTTP references become HTTPS in the same pass, so OTA downloads stop
crossing the network in the clear.
Deliberately NOT rewritten:
- The public FIPS anchor on port 8444. It is a functional network endpoint
every node dials to bootstrap the mesh — closer to Bitcoin Core's hardcoded
seeds than to leaked infrastructure. The domain does resolve to the same
host, so it could become a hostname, but that adds a DNS dependency to the
path used precisely when things are broken. Worth a deliberate decision,
not a side effect of this change.
- The companion APK on port 2100. The domain returns 404 for that path, so
rewriting it would swap a working URL for a broken one. The Releases page
does serve (200), which is where the plan already wants those binaries.
- releases/app-catalog.json, releases/manifest.json and release-manifest.json.
These carry `signature` and `signed_by`; editing their contents invalidates
the signature and the fleet refuses artifacts that fail verification. They
were rewritten in a first pass and reverted — they must be regenerated and
re-signed through the signing ceremony instead, which needs the mnemonic.
So the catalog still advertises the old host until that ceremony runs. Nodes
resolve images through the signed catalog, not the on-disk manifests, so this
commit alone does not change what a node pulls.
Verified: archipelago-container 75/75; every manifest still parses with a
top-level app block; no signed artifact modified.

The repo is source code and guidelines only. Nothing about how Archipelago's
own fleet is run, or how the team works, stays in it.
Untracked (kept on disk, gitignored) — 250 files:
- .planning/ (199) and loop/ — internal development process
- fleet operations tooling that targets specific nodes: deploy-to-target,
deploy-tailscale, deploy-config-defaults, setup-target-dev, setup-aiui-server,
setup-https-dev, debug-frontend, node-profile, fleet-fips-pair/unpair,
image-recipe/sync-from-live.sh
- image-recipe/INTEGRATION-GUIDE.md and docs/multinode-testing-plan.md, both of
which are live-server workflow and fleet node inventories
- the Phase 10 on-node verification and evidence records, which cite .planning/
as their evidence base
KEY-05-ENTROPY-ENFORCEMENT.md was initially moved out with the other Phase 10
docs and then put back: it is cited as normative rationale from ten places in
the codebase, including core/clippy.toml, which bans rand::thread_rng and
points at it for the reason. That makes it a guideline, not an internal record.
Node names removed from source (48 occurrences across comments, manifests and
test fixtures): archi-dev-box, archy-x250*, shorty-s, framework-pt,
zaza-optiplex, archi-thinkpad. Comments keep the engineering context and the
date, which is what carried the meaning; the machine name did not.
Three of those were live test values rather than comments and were replaced
with valid stand-ins, not prose: two mDNS hostnames and a mesh peer name.
An earlier pass substituted "a test node" into a hostname assertion, producing
an invalid hostname; caught and fixed as test-node.local.
Wipe mechanism: .local-only/manifest.txt inventories every local-only path and
.local-only/wipe.sh deletes them on one confirmation, refusing to touch
anything git still tracks. Both are themselves untracked, so the public repo
does not carry a map of internal filenames.
Verified: cargo check -p archipelago --all-features clean; archipelago-container
75/75 tests pass; appOrigin vitest 7/7; audit-secrets 5/5; every relative link
in tracked markdown resolves (0 broken).

Reported: Framework PT took the OTA and got the new bitcoin-ui but not
lnd-ui. Two causes, both in the update path rather than the app.
1. LND_UI_IMAGE was "lnd-ui:latest" while BITCOIN_UI_IMAGE was pinned to
1.7.119-alpha. Podman does not re-pull a tag it already holds locally,
so a node that ever pulled lnd-ui:latest keeps that copy forever and
every subsequent release silently no-ops. Pinned to 1.7.119-alpha, so
a version change is what triggers the pull — the same mechanism that
made bitcoin-ui update correctly.
2. first-boot-containers.sh declared lnd-ui as bridge with -p 18083:80.
docker/lnd-ui/nginx.conf listens on 18083 DIRECTLY (it must, to proxy
the backend on 127.0.0.1:5678 same-origin), so that maps a host port
onto a container port nothing serves — reproduced on-node as HTTP 000.
This is the THIRD copy of the same declaration: container-specs.sh and
apps/lnd-ui/manifest.yml were both already corrected, this one was
missed, and it is the copy fresh installs use. Now host-networked with
no published ports, matching its siblings and the other two copies.
The underlying hazard is that one container spec lives in three files
that can disagree; recorded as a follow-up rather than refactored here.
Also opens .planning/RELEASE-1.7.121-TASKS.md — every outstanding item
for the next release with its evidence, so nothing in a fast-moving queue
gets lost between sessions.

Six code paths configured the Lightning gateway with a bcrypt hash committed
to this repository — and one deploy path with a plaintext password literal —
whenever the per-install secret was missing. Anyone holding a copy of the repo
held the admin credential for every gateway that ever took a fallback.
container::secrets now owns the credential end to end: ensure_gateway_credential
(idempotent, delegates to ensure_one's bcrypt arm) and gateway_bcrypt_hash,
which returns Err when the secret is missing/empty and when the stored value is
on the KNOWN_DEFAULT_GATEWAY_HASHES denylist — so this codebase cannot hand
back the compromised value even to a node already carrying it.
get_app_config was widened to Result so a credential-less install cannot reach
podman run at all; configure_fedimint_lnd takes the resolved hash instead of
re-reading with its own fallback. The four shell paths stop generating
credentials entirely (dropping the htpasswd host dependency) and skip container
creation with a printed reason rather than substituting anything.
Naming converges on the manifest's fedimint-gateway-hash/.pw, with legacy
fedimint-gateway-password values copied forward rather than regenerated so no
node loses a working unique credential. Plan 01-16 owns rotation of installs
already carrying the default.
Verified: cargo build clean; cargo test -p archipelago 999 passed (2
boot_reconciler timing tests failed under concurrent load, green in isolation,
untouched by this diff); bash -n clean on all five scripts; the compromised
literal now appears exactly once in the tree, as the denylist.

Fresh offline installs came up without fedimint-clientd and filebrowser
(they only appeared after connecting internet). Three root causes:
- archipelago-load-images.service ran 'podman load' as root, but every
container runs rootless as archipelago — bundled images landed in
root's storage where the rootless runtime can't see them, so all
container creation silently depended on registry pulls. The loader now
loads into the archipelago user's storage (with linger + runtime-dir
wait + system migrate).
- The unbundled ISO bundled only filebrowser.tar; fmcd (fedimint-clientd)
is a baseline first-boot app too and is now part of the unbundled core
bundle.
- first-boot's pull_with_fallback always hit the network; it now uses an
already-loaded local image first and skips the pull entirely.
Also: fedimint-clientd added to the UI's hardcoded curated-app fallback
list (it was missing when all catalog fetches fail offline), plus its
INSTALLED_ALIASES entry, and the stale fmcd bundling comment in
image-versions.sh corrected.

The tx1138 Gitea was retired as a release server 2026-06-13 and its registry
frontend is fully dead (500 on every /v2 manifest read, observed 2026-07-10).
Nothing may reference it anymore:
- registry.rs: no longer a default registry, no longer force-enabled on
load; saved configs are stripped of it on load (same one-time migration
treatment as the decommissioned Hetzner mirror), with a regression test.
- image_policy.rs: removed from TRUSTED_REGISTRIES — refs through the dead
host are now refused at the pull site (rejection test added).
- api/handler: dropped the legacy catalog-proxy fallback URL.
- .gitmodules: indeedhub submodule repointed to the OVH Gitea.
- scripts, image-recipe, app-catalog data, neode-ui strings, docs, and all
test fixtures repointed to 146.59.87.168:3000 (or neutral example hosts).
- image-versions.sh: ARCHY_REGISTRY_FALLBACK emptied (guarded consumers
skip it); reconcile-containers.sh candidate guard hardened.
The only remaining occurrences of the host string are the strip/reject
enforcement paths and their regression tests — the code that guarantees it
is never used again.

Fixes from real fresh-install feedback (Framework node .81) + its log bundle:
Backend:
- websocket: subscribe before initial snapshot — broadcasts in the gap were
silently lost, stranding clients on stale state until a hard refresh
(the "everything needs ctrl-r" bug: My Apps stuck Loading, App Store
stuck Checking, containers-scanned never arriving)
- crash recovery: check the crash marker BEFORE writing our own PID —
recovery had never run on any node (always saw its own PID and skipped);
PID-reuse guard via /proc cmdline
- boot status: pending-boot-starts registry (recovery, stack recovery,
reconciler, adoption) — scanner overlays queued-but-down apps as
Restarting instead of Stopped after a reboot; scanner-authored
Restarting resolves immediately on a settled scan (no transitional wedge)
- install deps: bounded wait (36x5s) when a dependency is installed but
still starting ("Waiting for Bitcoin to start…") instead of instant
rejection; dependency-gate rejections remove the optimistic entry (no
phantom Stopped tile) and surface as a notification
- seed backup: auth.setup persists the onboarding mnemonic as the
encrypted seed backup (reveal previously failed on EVERY node — nothing
ever wrote master_seed.enc); seed.restore stashes too; error sanitizer
lets seed/2FA errors through instead of "Check server logs"
- lnd: bitcoind.rpchost resolved from the running Bitcoin variant
(hardcoded bitcoin-knots broke Core nodes); manifest uses derived_env
- bitcoin status: clean human message for connection-reset/startup; raw
URLs + os-error chains no longer reach the app card
- fedimint-clientd: chown /var/lib/archipelago/fmcd to 1000:1000 (root-
created dir crash-looped the rootless container, EACCES) — first-boot
script + pre-start self-heal
- log volume (>1GB/day on a day-old node): journald caps drop-in (ISO +
bootstrap self-heal), bitcoind -printtoconsole=0 everywhere (90% of the
journal was IBD UpdateTip spam), tracing default debug→info
Frontend:
- Login: Enter advances to confirm field then submits; submit always
clickable with inline errors (was silently disabled on mismatch);
Restart Onboarding needs a confirming second click (the mismatch →
"onboarding restarted" trap)
- sync store: 30s state reconciliation + refetch on re-entrant connect;
20s containers-scanned escape hatch so Checking can never show forever;
fresh empty node reaches the real "no apps yet" state
- intro video: CRF20 re-encode (SSIM 0.988) + faststart — moov was at EOF
so playback needed the full 15MB first (the intro lag)
- backgrounds: 10 heaviest JPEGs → WebP q90 (9.4MB→6.6MB); 7 stayed JPEG
(WebP larger on noisy sources)
- Web5ConnectedNodes: drop unused template ref that failed vue-tsc -b
ISO/kiosk:
- nginx: /assets/ 404s no longer cached immutable for a year; HTTPS block
gained the missing /assets/ location (served index.html as images)
- kiosk: launcher/service spliced from configs/ at ISO build (stale
heredoc force-disabled GPU); MemoryHigh/Max 1200/1500→2200/2800M (kiosk
rode the reclaim throttle = the lag); firmware-intel-graphics +
firmware-amd-graphics (trixie split DMC blobs out of misc-nonfree)
Verified: cargo test 898/898 green, npm run build green with dist
contents confirmed (webp refs, lnd.png, faststart video, new strings).

The LND UI container was unreachable on .228 after the v1.7.43-alpha
deploy because three sources of truth disagreed on which port nginx
listens on inside the container:
- docker/lnd-ui/nginx.conf listen 8081
- docker/lnd-ui/Dockerfile EXPOSE 8080
- apps/lnd-ui/manifest.yml host networking, ports: []
- scripts/first-boot-containers.sh -p 8081:8080
- scripts/deploy-to-target.sh -p 8081:80 (de-facto)
- scripts/deploy-tailscale.sh -p 8081:80
- scripts/container-specs.sh SPEC_PORTS=8081:80
Result: podman published host 8081 to container port 80, but no one was
listening on 80 inside, so connections were reset. Canonicalize on
container:80 with host:8081 publish, matching the three deploy paths
already in agreement.
Changes:
- docker/lnd-ui/nginx.conf: listen 8081 -> listen 80
- docker/lnd-ui/Dockerfile: EXPOSE 8080 -> EXPOSE 80
- apps/lnd-ui/manifest.yml: replace host-network (never true) with
bridge networking and explicit 8081:80 port mapping, correcting a
documentation-vs-reality mismatch
- scripts/first-boot-containers.sh: -p 8081:8080 -> -p 8081:80, and
fix the internal-port comment
Verified on .228 after rebuild: curl http://127.0.0.1:8081/ returns HTTP
200 and the /app/lnd/ host-nginx proxy resolves cleanly.
The previous code computed HOST_GATEWAY from `ip route show default` to
work around an alleged podman 4.3.x limitation. Two problems:
1. The comment was wrong. Podman 4.4+ supports --add-host=host-gateway
natively, and we ship 5.4.2.
2. More critically, `ip route show default` returns the LAN router
(e.g. 192.168.1.254) — the gateway to the internet, not the gateway
to the host. Every container configured with DAEMON_URL or
--bitcoind.rpchost=host.containers.internal was therefore dialing
the WiFi router instead of the host machine, silently failing.
Symptoms this caused on .228:
- LND crash-looped with "dial tcp 192.168.1.254:8332: connection refused"
- Dashboard showed no LND connect details or QR
- ElectrumX DAEMON_URL broken; stuck at 2 KB index for days
- Any service reaching bitcoin-core through the `archy-net` bridge
Replace the computed value with the literal string "host-gateway",
which podman translates to the correct in-network gateway at container
start. Also drop the stale HOST_GATEWAY reference in the Tor-bootstrap
branch (it always fell back to TARGET_IP anyway). Verified on .228:
after recreating bitcoin-core/electrumx/lnd with the new flag, LND
reached the chain backend, ElectrumX resumed indexing, and the
dashboard /lnd-connect-info endpoint succeeded.
- Backend: install.rs registry reachability probe now strips the
`host[:port]/namespace` suffix before appending `/v2/` (the Docker
V2 API lives at the host root, not under the namespace) and accepts
HTTP 405 in addition to 200/401 as "registry daemon alive". This
fixes false "unreachable" reports on the Test button for Gitea and
other registries that protect their /v2/ endpoint.
- Backend: stacks.rs install_indeedhub_stack now force-removes any
leftover indeedhub-* containers and indeedhub-net before creating
the stack. A partial install (or the old first-boot stub racing the
installer) used to leave containers around that blocked re-install
with "name already in use". Re-running the App Store install now
self-heals.
- Backend: registry.rs load_registries auto-merges any default
registry URLs missing from the saved config (appended with priority
max+10+i, persisted). Lets new default mirrors (e.g. Server 3 OVH)
roll out to existing nodes without manual config edits. Explicit
removals still stick — URLs absent from disk AND absent from
defaults stay gone.
- Backend: update.rs adds DEFAULT_TERTIARY_MIRROR_URL at
http://146.59.87.168:3000/ (Server 3 OVH) to default_mirrors, with
the same auto-merge-on-load behavior as registries. Test updated
for 3-mirror default (.160, tx1138, .168).
- Scripts: dropped the first-boot IndeedHub stub (~38 lines in
first-boot-containers.sh §8b). It predated the proper stack
installer, raced it, and was the main source of the name-conflict
mess the stacks.rs cleanup above now also guards against.

- Add deploy_secondary() function for deploying to multiple LAN nodes
- --both now deploys to .198 and .253 (previously .198 only)
- Fleet deploy updated for 3 LAN nodes
- Mesh DM fixes: protocol frame format, DM-via-channel routing
- Federation pending requests, discover modal
- VPN status UI improvements
- Image versions and container specs updates

Registry fallback now only tries DIFFERENT registries (skips original
that already failed). 120s timeout per fallback attempt. WireGuard
keys generated on unbundled first-boot. Gitea ROOT_URL uses port 3001.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
1. registries.conf includes docker.io search + fallback 23.182.128.160
2. First-boot pull_with_fallback() tries primary then fallback registry
3. FileBrowser created with noauth config on persistent volume
4. Backend dynamic registries.json pre-created in ISO
5. Filebrowser password secret created for token flow
Fixes: apps stuck at 0% download, filebrowser not working, dynamic
catalog not loading on fresh installs.

MediaLightbox: full glassmorphic redesign with dark backdrop, smooth
transitions, proper video/audio/image support. FileBrowser: noauth
config on persistent volume. Deploy script: fixed sed quoting.

All hardcoded references to the old IP-based registry replaced across
Rust backend, Vue frontend, shell scripts, Dockerfiles, CI, and docs.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Unbundled ISO: first-boot only creates FileBrowser (marker file .unbundled)
Users install apps from Marketplace — no more bitcoin/mempool on clean install
- VPN status: read tunnel IP from config file (instant) instead of nvpn status (22s)
- Kiosk: App.vue skips remote relay on /kiosk path (prevents duplicate input)
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Update all references from Debian 12 (Bookworm) to Debian 13 (Trixie)
- Enable SystemCallArchitectures, RestrictAddressFamilies, RestrictRealtime
in archipelago.service (safe on systemd 256+ which respects NoNewPrivileges=no)
- Update GLIBC compatibility checks from 2.36 to 2.40
- ISO filename, build container, and docs updated throughout

Standalone WireGuard (wg0:51820):
- New archipelago-wg.service creates wg0 independent of NostrVPN
- Keypair generated on first-boot, persisted on LUKS partition
- vpn.create-peer uses wg genkey/pubkey (no nvpn dependency)
- wg-address service depends on archipelago-wg, not nostr-vpn
Networking fixes:
- Remove nos.lol from default relays (requires PoW, events rejected)
- Add Tor hidden service for private relay (port 7777) — NAT'd peers
can reach relay over Tor for NostrVPN signaling
- Fix Tor hostname sync race: wait loop before copying hostname files
- Add tor-hostnames + wireguard dirs to LUKS partition setup
- Include relay in hostname sync loops (setup-tor.sh + first-boot)
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The nvpn daemon config at /var/lib/archipelago/nostr-vpn/ is owned by
root, but the backend runs as archipelago. Direct write silently failed,
so adding a second phone's npub never reached the daemon — service
restarted with stale config. Now falls back to sudo cp for root-owned
paths, and first-boot sets ownership to archipelago.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Add nostr-rs-relay as native system service (port 7777) for VPN
signaling. Every node runs its own private relay from first boot.
Update nvpn binary from v0.3.4 to v0.3.7 (fixes mesh event
processing). Add WireGuard helper and address service for peer VPN.
First-boot script configures relay, nvpn identity, relay URLs
(direct + Tor onion), and syncs daemon config.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- VPN card: relay URLs, device management, invite QR, add participant
- Backend: vpn.invite, vpn.add-participant, vpn.peer-config RPCs
- nvpn v0.3.7 system service (fixes event processing bug in v0.3.4)
- First-boot: auto-configure nvpn with node identity and endpoint
- Service: AF_NETLINK for WireGuard, NoNewPrivileges=no for sudo wg
- TASK-50: networking stack reliability from first install
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Add NostrVPN as a native systemd service (extracted from container)
- Add VPN status detection for nostr-vpn in backend vpn.rs
- ISO build extracts nvpn binary from container image
- First-boot auto-configures NostrVPN with node's Nostr identity
- Change Claude Auth from login iframe to API key input field
- Remove duplicate ChangePasswordSection from Settings.vue
- FIPS and Routstr remain as installable container apps

Replace hardcoded /run/user/1000 with $(id -u archipelago) so first-boot
works regardless of the archipelago user's UID.

bitcoin.conf already has server=1, rpcbind=0.0.0.0, rpcallowip, listen.
Passing them again via command-line causes bitcoin to try binding port
8332 twice → "Address already in use" → container crashes on every start.
Now only passes pruning/txindex args and dbcache via CLI.
Health check uses cookie auth (-datadir) instead of plaintext password.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Add firmware-linux-nonfree to ISO (fixes missing Realtek NIC firmware)
- Pre-create nbxplorer/Main and btcpay/Main data directories
- Fix fedimint data dir permissions (chmod 775 for non-root container)
- GRUB GFX fallback: gfxpayload=keep + console fallback for incompatible hardware
- Kill stale Chromium before kiosk restart (prevents duplicate processes)
- Suppress Rust warnings: #[allow(dead_code)] on run_boot_reconciliation,
#[allow(unused_assignments)] on history_dirty
- Version bump to 1.3.3
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Pre-create Documents/Photos/Music/Downloads/Builds dirs for FileBrowser
- Add "Already set up? Log in" link on onboarding intro page
- Prevents users from getting stuck in onboarding loop

Onboarding:
- Persist current step in localStorage — page refresh resumes where user was
- Router afterEach saves step; guard redirects to saved step, not always intro
- Show npub alongside DID on restore success screen
UI fixes:
- Clipboard polyfill for HTTP contexts (fixes Copy DID crash on non-HTTPS)
- AppCard installing overlay shows for pkg.state=installing (survives refresh)
- Hide uninstall button during installation
- Frontend version bumped to 1.3.2
App store:
- OnlyOffice fully removed from marketplace, curated apps, app config
- Replaced with CryptPad references throughout
- Remove OnlyOffice from ISO capture patterns
Container stability:
- UI containers (bitcoin-ui, lnd-ui, electrs-ui) pull from registry first
- Added --cap-add FOWNER for rootless Podman compatibility
- electrs-ui now included in first-boot loop alongside bitcoin-ui and lnd-ui
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Bitcoin Knots needs more memory headroom (was OOMing at 2g during IBD).
Reduce dbcache from 4096 to 2048 on large disks to stay within the 4g
container limit. Low-memory systems get 2g (was 1g).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Container stability:
- Merge scan results instead of full replacement (prevents UI flapping)
- Absence threshold: 3 consecutive missed scans before removing from state
- container-list RPC uses cached scanner state for consistency
- Increased Podman API timeout 30s → 60s (scanner + health monitor)
- Keep crashed containers visible as "exited" instead of podman rm -f
- Resolve host-gateway IP via ip route (podman 4.3.x compatibility)
ISO build fixes:
- AIUI web app inclusion: searches 5 paths + CI step to copy from build server
- Claude API proxy: systemctl enable with symlink fallback
- AIUI nginx: try_files =404 (was /aiui/index.html redirect loop)
- Build version set to 1.3.0
Container fixes:
- lnd-ui: nginx listens on 8080 (was 80, Permission denied in rootless)
- first-boot: image-versions.sh sourced from correct path with validation
- first-boot: host-gateway resolved to actual gateway IP

Bitcoin UI and Electrs UI proxy API calls to 127.0.0.1 services
(Bitcoin RPC on 8332, backend on 5678). With port-mapped containers,
127.0.0.1 is the container's own localhost — the proxy fails and UIs
show "Unable to connect to Bitcoin node".
Fix: bitcoin-ui and electrs-ui use --network host (internal ports
8334 and 50002 don't conflict with host nginx on 80/443). LND UI
stays port-mapped (-p 8081:80) because port 80 would conflict.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Bitcoin UI listens on 8334 internally (not 80), Electrs UI on 50002.
Port mappings must match: -p 8334:8334 and -p 50002:50002.
Also adds missing electrs-ui to the UI container list.
Removes --network host for bitcoin-ui which conflicted with nginx.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Backend:
- Add --add-host host.containers.internal:host-gateway to LND and Bitcoin
Knots containers (fixes DNS resolution failure in rootless podman)
- Add --user 0:0 and DAC_OVERRIDE to nginx UI sidecar containers
(fixes chown crash in rootless podman for bitcoin-ui, electrs-ui, lnd-ui)
- Add hostadd to Rust Podman API client for web UI container installs
- Add Chromium privacy flags to kiosk launcher (disable telemetry)
Frontend:
- Fix onboarding reset on raw IP visits (trust localStorage as first-class
signal, skip boot screen when server is up but not onboarded)
- Fix seed regression: persist challenge indices in sessionStorage so going
back from Verify doesn't change which words are asked
- Remove glass container from seed Generate/Verify/Restore screens
- Add Back button to Restore from Seed screen
- Replace Network card: Tor (purple), VPN status (orange), Bitcoin sync (orange)
- Add ElectrumX to curated app list with correct .webp icon
- Install flow: navigate to My Apps immediately with toast, hide
installed/installing apps from marketplace and discover views

LND crashes with "netlinkrib: address family not supported by protocol"
in rootless podman because it needs NET_RAW to enumerate network
interfaces during TLS certificate generation. Added to capabilities
in config.rs, first-boot-containers.sh, and container-specs.sh.

LND v0.18+ crashes with "netlinkrib: address family not supported"
because rootless podman blocks netlink access for TLS cert SAN
enumeration. Fix: add tlsextraip=0.0.0.0 and tlsextradomain=lnd
to lnd.conf so LND skips interface enumeration.
Also: fix status label to show "crashed" for both exited and
stopped containers with non-zero exit codes (previously only
caught "exited" state, but podman reports "stopped" for
restart-looping containers).

Remove the Bitcoin RPC 60-second gate that blocked 13+ dependent containers
(mempool, electrumx, btcpay, lnd, fedimint) from being created on first boot.
Containers now always get created and auto-restart via health monitor once
Bitcoin becomes responsive — the designed recovery path.
Additional hardening:
- Validate archy-net creation with retry (silent failure broke DNS)
- Verify critical images are loaded, re-load from tarballs if missing
- Create SearXNG settings.yml before container start (was missing)
- Run reconciler automatically after first-boot failures
- Add load-images as explicit systemd dependency with 900s timeout
- Propagate config write errors in install.rs (bitcoin.conf, lnd.conf)
- FileBrowser password change: retry loop (6 attempts) + 0o600 perms
- Post-start verification: detect containers that exit immediately
- Add 2s dependency waits between container starts
